Here’s a crucial difference most firms overlook: the Northshore is in St. Tammany Parish, which is a different court system than New Orleans and Jefferson Parish. St. Tammany injury cases are handled through the 22nd Judicial District Court in Covington — not the Orleans or Jefferson Parish courts. A firm that only knows the south-shore courts is at a disadvantage on a Northshore case.
